I've always wanted to do a slightly more artistic version of Naruto and Sasuke. Finally I got myself to it, but it turned out a little bit different than I'd thought. Once again the background is one big disappointment... I just couldn't get myself to do something decent after colouring both characters. Thank god for 's brushes!
Why a panther? I don't know to be honest... I don't think Sasuke has a signature animal and to draw a fan (Uchiwa) next to him seems a bit... unfair, when Naruto's got his demon fox. :XD:
Panthers are dark so I thought it'd go well with Saske-kun. ^^

I had an early idea for this composition but I knew that my computer wouldn't be able to handle the entire picture if I was going to work in high resolution, so I divided it into two and worked on one half at a time. The rope and the background was added after I coloured Naruto and Sasuke. I was hoping to make the background colder on Sasuke's side and warmer on Naruto's side, but I didn't know what to do so in the end it turned out rather neutral... T_T
I'm planning to make these into two A4 prints. I like the idea of a print series, and this way you won't loose to much detail.

I rushed to finish this today since I'm going back to Sweden in about a week's time and I'll be in an amature art exhibition in my hometown. It's good fun, you get primary school kids exhibiting their crayon drawings next to 60+ grannies with their watercolour paintings. ^^ It'll be really interesting to bring some anime art into it, it hasn't really been done before I reckon.
This exhibition is an annual tradition in my town, I remember going there as a kid and my dad would joke and say that I should show my drawings there. This might be my last chance to do it since my family will be moving to Norway within a year. 16 years in that town... can't help but feeling a bit nostalgic.
LOL sorry for the rambling, it's late and my room is 30C hot... It's been pretty damn boiling in London lately.

That..... is just.... *speechless* Not a NaruSasu fan, know nothing of them but OMG I LOVE THAT DRAWING ;_______; The line art, shading, animals = PERFECT. OMg I can't even draw animals. *sucks* The only thing is maybe make the black borders thinner or a lighter colour or just blend the two pics in a more inconspicuous way, cos they're a bit.. erm.. incongruent. :+favlove: Amazing pic Nanna ^___________^

BEAUTIFUL! Whoah ;-; Those poses are just too gorgeous and I love the animal you chose for Sasuke. Both of them look soft and gentle without loking... like girly. That's a real talent to do that ;-; I love it.

I've been dragging out the finish of this for so long that I don't even feel as excited about it as I used to, but it means a lot to hear that, especially from you. ^___^ I got the tip about the brushes from you as well! ^^

Thanks for you view on the borders, I was really doubtful about which version to upload. I think the one with the borders just stuck to me since I was thinking about printing. I can't be bothered to make the borderes thinner so I just removed them. ^^;
